Pool Deck: Hotel CeRRO
The rooftop pool deck at Hotel Cerro provided an opportunity to take what was originally envisioned as a basic commercial recreational space and to transform it into a luxurious and inspiring destination, supporting numerous functions for the Hotel and its guests.
The impressive entrance to the pool area was designed to set an auspicious and welcoming tone, with dark tiled stairway flanked by twin water walls, cascading into small pools of water lilies.
In addition to the pool itself, the space is furnished with private cabanas, dining areas, lounge seating and chaises for sunbathing, providing for a variety of guest experiences. Italian porcelain decking, flush to pool edge, provides a cohesive look. The covered stand-up bar area is configured with video monitors hidden behind mirrors to provide a clean appearance when not viewing visual content. A handsome freestanding outdoor shower and changing rooms, with textured mosaic stone walls, provide additional focal elements.
