Artist’s Statement: “The Dark Matter/Antimatter series evokes the nanoscopic aspect of the world around us, which at some point transitions from the visible and the material into an invisible field of energy – one than may ultimately be unobservable and must therefore remain imagined. Black wax and white wax are excavated and the excavations filled with pigment, to evoke many things at many different scales, from the microscopic scale of a biological cell to the cosmic scale of an exploding supernova.”
